Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary Social Campaign
To spread awareness of their fall appeals theme of Kindness Comes Home, my team proposed a unique social listening campaign for the followers of the animal sanctuary. So many of the people who comment and post on their social media accounts have a special place in their hearts for creatures great and small, and what better way to show appreciation than to surprise a lucky few with a custom illustration.
To kick of the social media portion of the campaign, we posed the question “How do you show kindness in your home?” with the comment that a very special surprise could happen to encourage interaction. After we received a multitude of responses on Facebook and Instagram, our illustrators picked their favorites and got to work creating custom work.
Results
Their social followers were overjoyed with the artwork and the followers we used as inspiration were moved to tears that we recognized their good deeds.
After all three illustrations went live we followed up by putting them on the sanctuary’s Red Bubble account to allow people to buy their choice of item with the design printed on it.
And to help make the process as easy as possible, we designed custom signs for their holiday fundraising events for people to scan the QR code and buy on their phones right at the event.
Awards
This campaign won a Gold ADDY for Illustration and a Bronze ADDY for Specialty Advertising at the Dallas awards. We were so proud of the work and the good it will do to raise money for a very deserving cause.
